How we look after your email
Short version: if you sign up for Notes from HQ, we use your email to send it to you. If you register interest in the founding group, we use what you tell us to see whether it's a fit and to email you about it. If you join the Solo Empire HQ waitlist, we email you about Solo Empire HQ. We never sell or share your details, the two are kept apart, and you can leave either at any time.
Who is responsible for your data. Quixoverse Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 14613073), is the controller of the details you give on this site. Ryan Armstrong runs the company and this site.

What we keep
- Your email address
- The date and time you signed up, the page you signed up on, and the exact words shown next to the sign-up button, so we can show you asked for the emails
- The country you signed up from. This is worked out from your connection when you sign up. We don't keep your IP address.
- If you register interest in the founding group, also: your name, what you do, a rough yearly revenue band, and anything you choose to write about what you're building

Why, and on what basis
To send you Notes from HQ: the journey to a million dollar solo empire, the real numbers, and news about Wonday, Youvment and Quixoverse. We only do this because you signed up for it (your consent). You can take that back at any time.
If you register interest in the founding group
We use what you tell us for two things: to see whether the founding group is a fit for you (which is why we ask what you do and a rough revenue band, not exact figures), and to email you about it. We do this because you registered for it (your consent). It's kept apart from the newsletter, and you won't be added to that unless you sign up separately. Please don't include sensitive personal information in the free-text box.
We keep it until the group is formed and you've heard back, and in any event no longer than 12 months from when you registered, unless you ask us to keep you on the list. To be taken off at any time, email ryan@ryanarmstronghq.com.
If you join the Solo Empire HQ waitlist
We keep your first name, your email and, if you choose to tell us, the thing you'd most like off your plate. We use it to email you about Solo Empire HQ: when it opens, and occasionally to ask what you'd want from it, so we build the right thing. We do this because you joined the waitlist (your consent). It's kept apart from the newsletter, and you won't be added to that unless you sign up separately.
We keep it until Solo Empire HQ opens and you've heard from us, and in any event no longer than 12 months from when you joined, unless you ask to stay on. To be taken off at any time, email ryan@ryanarmstronghq.com.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site and stores the sign-up
- Kit, which will send the emails
Both are based in the United States, so your details may be processed there. For Cloudflare we rely on its certification under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. For Kit we rely on the UK's approved international data transfer terms (the UK Addendum to the standard contractual clauses) in Kit's data processing agreement. We check both every year.
How long we keep it
For as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we delete your details, keeping only your email address on a do-not-send list so we never email you again by mistake.
Your rights
You can ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, take a copy with you, and withdraw your consent at any time. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, or email us at the address above.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
